The eDIOM system provides access to both information related to traffic organization and the investment process or ongoing maintenance of roads. At any time, it is possible to perform analyses backward, forward or on the current state of the linear infrastructure, in relation to its operation and maintenance costs. The system can be used in any linear infrastructure based on a reference system and network topology, such as roads, railroads, streetcar lines or bicycle paths. An essential element of eDIOM is the road reference system, which unambiguously defines the course and length of a road.

Each user, via cell phone, can also report a specific event, such as road damage that threatens safety, or an un-snowed roadway.

The system has more than 20 road infrastructure management modules. In addition, it provides the ability to create custom modules for objects not included by eDIOM in the basic version.

The eDIOM system was designed as a central database for managing a complete set of road information, freely configurable and managed. The customer decides what tools they need and what type of tools they will use. Each application is available in both desktop and web versions. An additional bonus are free mobile applications available for Android devices. One central database is based on the Oracle object database engine.
The system is 100% compliant with the latest regulation on geodetic maps, and geodetic data can be a large resource of the road system without duplicating them.
Of course, all applications and data are available both in the local network and via the Internet. The system has tools for managing authorizations, granted by the administrator to each user individually. All data is public and can be used for any database or GIS systems, and what is equally important, additional applications can be created by independent creators, if they do not violate the structure of the database. This ensures full interoperability.

Records of roads and bridges

As part of the service, we conduct a detailed inventory of the elements of a road lane, bridge structure, tunnel, culvert or ferry. We establish a book and a card of the bridge object. We make the collected data available in our road infrastructure management system – eDIOM and eDrogowiec.

Inventory of greenery

Objects entered into the system, such as trees or shrubs, receive their object cards. In them is recorded complete information about the object, i.e. diameter, crown size, age, number of trunks, attachments (decisions, photos), and all care taken and planned. On this basis, the system allows generating an application for felling or planting, along with charging a fee.

We conduct inspections of roads and bridges, preparing compliant documentation.

Regular inspections of roads and bridges are a key component of road and bridge infrastructure management. The data collected during these inspections form the basis for making decisions on ongoing maintenance and planning future repairs.
We offer technical inspections of roads and bridges, both annual and five-yearly, which include:

  • Printed protocols with the signature of an authorized person
  • Attachments with assessments of individual elements
  • List of roads and bridge structures
  • Maps with the results of the assessment of the condition of the surface (regarding road inspections)

All elements of the road are evaluated according to thematic groups, such as roadways, sidewalks, bicycle paths, drainage and traffic organization, using a specific rating scale and established criteria. During basic reviews, the focus is on the technical evaluation of roads. On the other hand, during extended reviews, in addition to technical evaluation, we also analyze the road’s suitability for use, its aesthetic qualities and the condition of its surroundings.

Permanent traffic organization projects

As part of our traffic organization planning service, we offer the development of Traffic Organization Design documentation, based on an inventory of the existing state. GPS CAM

DESIGNERS has developed the GPSCAM system for, among other things, automating signage inventory and road condition assessment. To use the system, it is necessary to collect data using a 360-degree video recording device equipped with cameras, GPS, IMU and encoder, and 360-degree omnidirectional scanners. The GPSCAM system automatically recognizes traffic signs and places them on the map, compares whether the signs are in the traffic organization records or whether any have been removed in the field, evaluates the condition of the roadway, records roads and inventories lighting, etc. The result of the work is an operational map, a sequence of omnidirectional photos with a positioning accuracy of up to 5 cm, a color point cloud and a completed road marking and condition assessment database, verification of signage/lighting according to the traffic organization projects in place and implemented, and verified other road data.

Among other things, the GPS CAM system can be used to automate signage inventory and road condition assessment. The system automatically recognizes road signs and places them on the map, assesses the condition of roadways, records roads, inventories lighting, etc. In the construction industry, it is used, among other things, for inventorying industrial installations and production halls, measuring deformations or analyzing building structures.
The algorithms on which our system is based use the latest technological advances, including artificial intelligence, to recognize objects.

360° camera

Data is collected using a 360-degree video recording device equipped with GPS cameras, IMU and an encoder. The five cameras from which the information is obtained record up to 60 frames per second. From such material, we can create a 360° image, in which each user will move freely, observing objects of interest.

Laser

Accuracy of measurements is a definite hallmark of laser scanning. Within a second we get hundreds of thousands of measured points and geospatial data, saving time
and significantly reducing the cost of their acquisition. No other method allows us to transfer the dimensions of the actual object into digital form so quickly and precisely.
